This week we report on the story of planning application to install a 5G mast in St Leonards receiving backlash from local residents.

Many have expressed their disapproval and concern at the proposal with more than 100 comments submitted to Hastings Borough Council’s planning department.

In other news, three parks in Hastings have been recognised by an environmental charity and retained their Green Flag status.

St Mary in the Castle is set to close later this year as the charitable trust will be ending its lease with the council, as the latter said it ‘does not have the resources available’ to support the trust.
