This week we report on how businesses in Hastings say they are ‘teetering on the brink’ due to huge rises in their energy bills amid the cost-of-living crisis.

There are calls for the Government to adopt a war footing to tackle the energy price crisis to stop the country from ‘falling off an economic cliff-edge’.

The average household in Hastings could also spend more than £3,000 per year on their energy bill when the new price cap comes into effect next month.
