Don’t forget the Macmillan Coffee Morning being held today, September 27, from 9:30am to 12:30pm in Pett Village Hall.

Also don’t forget the Harvest Home at the New Beach Club tomorrow, September 28, from 7pm until everything is sold! Remember - donated items can be left on your doorstep on the morning of the 28th, where they will be collected by Harvest Home volunteers.

Church services on Sunday September 29 - Holy Communion, Richard Barron at Pett Church at 9:30am. There will be a Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.

The Village Choir will meet on Monday September 30 at 7:30pm at the Methodist Chapel.

POPP on Tuesday October 1 will feature Keith Osborne and Music for Health. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm at Pett Village Hall, including a two- course lunch for just £5.

The Village Coffee Morning returns on Wednesday October 2. New faces are always welcome, as are the more familiar! Running from 10am to 12pm at Pett Village Hall, just pop in to enjoy tea or coffee and wonderful home made cakes.

Also on Wednesday October 2 the Mobile Library will be in Pett. Starting at Pett Church at 10:10am, it will be at the top of Chick Hill from 10:50am and finishes at The Smuggler, Pett Level from 11:30am to 11:45am.

On Thursday October 3 Flicks in the Village will be showing Lincoln (12). Steven Spielberg directs two-time Academy Award winner Daniel Day-Lewis in this revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President’s tumultuous final five months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery.

With moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come. The film also stars Tommy Lee-Jones and Sally Field.

The doors open at Pett Village Hall at 7pm, where refreshments will be available and the film will start at 7:30pm. Membership is available from as little as £4 per film so why not give it a try?
