Church Services on Sunday November 11 – Remembrance Sunday - St Mary & St Peter, Pett at 10:30am. Please note the change of time – this is so the congregation can share in the nationwide act of Remembrance at 11am. Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.

The Village Choir will meet again on Monday November 12 at 7:30pm in Pett Methodist Chapel.

POPP on Tuesday November 13 will feature Keith Osborne – Music for Health. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

At the meeting of Pett Gardening Club on Tuesday November 13 Dr Barry Yates, manager of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, will be talking about this wonderful place, which is right on our doorstep. The meeting starts at 7pm in Pett Village Hall. New members are always warmly welcomed at £2 per meeting.

The Mobile Library will be in Pett and Pett Level on Wednesday November 14. It will start at the Church at 10.10am, moving on to Chick Hill at 10:50am and finishing at The Smuggler at 11.20am.

On Friday November 16 Pett WI will be holding its Annual General Meeting, which will involve the election of the Committee and a new President. Although it may sound a little dull, it is the opportunity for members to say what they would like to see in the coming year and also Pett WI will be celebrating its 95th anniversary with a birthday cake!

Already planned for next year are talks on animal homeopathy, bees, flower arranging, Fairtrade and a talk by a well-known local poet. Members truly want to be celebrating Pett WI’s centenary in 2017 so do come along and see what it is all about.

Also on Friday November 6 Pett Naturalists will be holding their monthly meeting at 7:30pm in Pett Village Hall. The speaker will be Melvyn Smith, one of the Society’s regular speakers, who will give an illustrated lecture on ‘Bird Life’. Visitors are welcome at £2 each.
