Church Services: On Sunday September 6 – Holy Communion, St Mary & St Peter, Pett at 9:30am, Kay Burnett and Merial Deasy. Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.

Village Hall Management Committee: This committee will meet on Monday September 7 at 7pm at Pett Village Hall. The meeting is open to the public so please come along and give your ideas and views on the hall.

Village Choir: Also on Monday September 7 the Village Choir will meet again at 7:30pm in Pett Methodist Chapel.

Pett Older People’s Project: On Tuesday September 8 POPP will feature Just George Entertains. The session runs from 10:30am to 2pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

Village Coffee Morning: The Village Coffee Morning will be held on Wednesday September 9. Starting at 10am Sally and Helen will be ready to welcome you with the very best coffee, tea, biscuits and yummy, yummy cakes, not to mention Phil’s famous sausage rolls.

Pett Church Flower Festival: This will be held in Pett Church on September 12 and 13, starting at 10am on the Saturday and 11am on the Sunday. The theme is Saints Above! and the emphasis will be on the occupations of which the saints have been declared patrons.

All these flowers decorating our churches are beautiful and memorable but are also a tribute to God. In the Pett Flower Festival, there is the additional significance that each arrangement is dedicated by a generous sponsor to the memory of a loved one or of someone known and admired.

As you probably remember from previous years, the church and churchyard will be full of stalls including Tombola, raffle, bric-a-brac, sweets, plants, produce and cakes.)Teas and luscious cakes will be available.

So please do plan to visit the Festival and if you can contribute a prize for the Tombola, so much the better!
