“They were taken before the river burst its banks at about 6pm,” she said.
“That happened after dark so the last photo (of the river flowing over the lane) was taken by car headlight!

She added: “This was the area Mayfield Market Towns thought may be a good spot for a new town.”
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service records, sent to the County Times by Jane, show 14 cases since mid 2012 in which the fire service has been called to flooding in or around Twineham.
