PICTURES: Rugby club launches naked calendar

Each month features photographs of a number of players from the Raiders squad.

The calendars were launched at the Raiders home game against Cinderford on Saturday afternoon.

Commercial manager at Worthing rugby club Josh Brown said: “The idea of the calendar came about a couple of months ago at a sponsors evening. I spoke to Sally Stewart who was more than happy to project manage the calendar and within a week found us enough sponsors to cover each month.

“The boys seemed more than happy to strip down in front of the camera and even came up with ideas for their photos.

“Having recently chosen Love Your Hospital as our club charity, we thought it would be a great idea to donate some of the proceeds to them.”

More than a third of the calendars were sold at the game with a few more orders due to be picked up this week.

The calendars are priced at £9 each with five per cent of funds raised going to the Love Your Hospital charity fund.

Calendars are being sold on a first come first served basis and can be purchased either by emailing [email protected], by calling 01903 784706 or by heading down to the club in Roundstone Lane and picking one up.
