Pictures: Thousands line streets for Rye Bonfire
RYE Bonfire Society overcame wet and windy weather on Saturday to stage an incredible display.
Heavy rain drenched the fire site on the Salts earlier on Saturday making life difficult for the crew but the appalling weather subsided for the torch-lit procession, which saw thousands of people lining the streets for what is the busiest night of the year in Rye.
Money was collected on the night for local charities and good causes.
