PLANNING: Littlehampton shop could become two new homes

THE owners of a small shop on the edge of Littlehampton town centre want to convert it to a flat and build a bungalow at the rear.

A brother and sister from Yapton who have owned 9A Arundel Road since 2008 (it previously belonged to their father) say they have been unable to find a long-term tenant for the shop, or sell it.

Their plans have been submitted to Arun District Council, along with the following other applications in the Gazette area:

ARUNDEL: internal alteration and enhancement/restoration works, including eight replacement windows, two replacement doors and removal of external plastic foul drainage pipework (re-submission following AB/102/14/L), 23 King Street. Also, listed building consent application for same.

Porch extension, ground floor extension under first floor overhang, new external staircase, new parking and turning area and new dormer window, 11 Priory Road.

Demolish double garage and build two-storey side extension with additional accommodation in the roof and other associated works, including enlarged loft conversion to rear range, 9 The Causeway.

EAST PRESTON: house, land next to 1 The Way.

Demolish house and garage and replace with a house with integral garage (re-submission following EP/134/14/PL), Shore House, Seafield Road.

KINGSTON: first-floor extension and revised roof to existing extension, 102 Golden Avenue.

LYMINSTER: single-storey archive store to match existing at the Angmering Park Estate Office, Upper Broomhurst Farm, Crossbush Lane, Crossbush.

YAPTON: front and rear extensions, 8 Cherry Avenue.
