Plans for modern homes on sensitive site in East Preston

TWO new houses are being proposed in a sensitive location within the conservation area on the boundary of Rustington and East Preston, and opposite the ancient St Mary’s Church.

The site, on a bend in Station Road opposite the junction with Vicarage Lane and Angmering Lane, is former garden land for The Tiled Barn, just to the north, where the owners live.

Globe Estates (Southern) Ltd, of Worthing, has submitted the plans for a three-bedroom house and another with four bedrooms to Arun District Council. They are among the latest list of applications in the Gazette area, which also include:
