Playden

• And still the wind continues to blow from the north east. Not quite so strongly, and we have at least been reminded that a sun does exist.! • • The Treasure Hunt was great fun. The questions were tricky, challenging, but not impossible, although there was one which nobody got right. The route was through different countryside to the west of Rye, and usually at this time of year there would have been much new green growth in fields and hedges. Not this year, but there were many lambs, probably very cold little lambs. But we had the best day of the week weather - wise and those who came really enjoyed it. The winners were Judith and James from Winchelsea. I’ll let you know if we do another one.

• The next event which the Friends are planning is the lovely weekend Exhibition of Arts and Crafts. This is not until 11/12 May but invitations to exhibitors are already being sent out. If anyone would like to be included whom we have not contacted, please talk to Viv on 224 606.

*There is also a Musical celebration with a concert in church on the Saturday at 7 pm, given by very well-known local musician Ken Roberts. You may remember his superb evening of Jazz a few years ago.
