FLOWER BORDERS: At the village hall, are to have a make-over on Sunday September 18. The aim of this work party, organised by the village hall committee, is to start clearing the borders around the village hall in preparation for re-planting and making the area look more attractive. Most of the shrubs were planted when the hall was built 20 years ago and now need replacing or pruning. The parish council have pledged to support this project by providing £100 per quarter. Notcutts have also agreed to provide sponsorship for plants. The work party will start at 10am and there will be no real finish time, just whatever time you can spare. Take your own tools (such as fork, spade, loppers and secateurs) with you. Please contact Sue Akers on 01273 891701, or by email [email protected], if you able to help.
