Police arrest two men following an incident in Littlehampton

A 21-YEAR-OLD man from Littlehampton was arrested for a drug-related offence over the weekend, police have said today (Monday, March 18).

John Fernandes, of Arundel Road, Littlehampton, has been charged with possession of a class B drug and has been bailed until April 10 to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court.

Police attended an address in Arundel Road at around 5pm on Saturday (March 16) on an unrelated matter and arrested Fernandes in connection with a suspected drug offence.

A second man was also arrested on suspicion of obstructing a police officer.

Rui Abreu, 28, also of Arundel Road, has been charged with assaulting a constable in execution of duty and has been bailed to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on April 10.
