Police called in the quell rioting prisoners at Ford Prison
RIOTING prisoners have smashed windows and started fires at Ford Open Prison today (New Year's Day).
Police officers have been called in following the disturbance, though no injuries have been reported.
The Ministry of Justice has said staff were forced to retreat.
Firefigthters were called in to deal with the fires in a number of buildings.
