Police hunting pair of youths in hoodies

A HUNT has been launched to find a pair of hoody-wearing youths who were seen acting suspiciously in Littlehampton in the early hours of this morning (Monday, December 22).

At approximately 3am this morning two youths, wearing hoodies, tracksuit bottoms and trainers, were seen to trying to open car door handles in Surrey Street, police said.

They are appealing for witnesses or those with information to call 101 quoting serial 0112 22/12/14.

The force is now advising residents to ensure their vehicles are always securely locked when parked.

Other advice includes:

• Remove valuables from the car - don’t hide things in the glove box;

• Wipe off any tell-tale sat-nav marks left behind on your windscreen;

• Close your windows;

• Double check the central locking has worked and your car is secure;

• Where possible, park your vehicle in a busy, well-lit area;

• Never leave your keys in the vehicle, even if you are just leaving it for a few seconds;

• If a vehicle is left insecure it only take 10 seconds for your valuables to be stolen.
