Police link burglaries in Findon Valley, Durrington and High Salvington

POLICE are linking five burglaries in Findon Valley to a spate in the Durrington and High Salvington area.

During both spates, the thieves used garden tools taken from the sheds at the burgled properties to get inside the homes.

The latest burglary spree during the weekend of Saturday, January 31 and Sunday, February 1, saw jewellery, TVs and other electrical items stolen from the homes in Parham Road, Vale Walk, Findon Road, The Heights and Shepherd's Mead.

Sergeant Ian Kerr, of Worthing police, said most of the break ins happened in either the afternoon or evening on Saturday or Sunday.

He issued advice to all homeowners, and urged them to ensure their sheds were kept locked at all times.

He also asked any witnesses to come forward and contact police on 0845 6070 999.
