Police warning after three Rustington garages burgled

PEOPLE living in Rustington have been warned to make sure their garages are secure after three were broken into on the same night.

Tools and food were stolen from three garages at homes in Milton Avenue overnight on Tuesday (April 13).

Sgt Chrissie Powell said: "Please be extra vigilant, ensure that the garage and outbuildings are secure and if possible consider alarms and extra secuirty measures such as padlocks.

"If you store any tools in garages or outbuildings then think about security marking them with your name and postcode.

"If you hear anything or see anything suspicious, especially during the hours of darkness, then please report it immediately to police."

Anyone who witnessed the break-ins or saw anybody acting suspiciously in the area between about 8pm on Tuesday and 7.20am on Wednesday is asked to call 0845 60 70 999, quoting serial 254 of 14/04.
