Polish staff celebrate at Bognor nursing home

POLISH staff at a nursing home in Bognor Regis are celebrating after completing a course to improve their English skills.

The 14 staff who all work at the Homebeech Nursing Home in the town completed the Edexcel Entry 3 Speaking and Listening qualification.

The aim was to improve the level of English currently used within the nursing home and, to increase the levels of communication between residents and staff.

The majority of the candidates have used the course as a platform to progress on to the higher Edexcel Adult Literacy and Numeracy qualifications at levels 1 and 2. The course was run with the help of Bognor Regis Town Football Club Skills Centre, which is managed by Chichester College.
