Plans to build 22 homes in Crawley approved

Plans to build 22 homes in London Road, Crawley, have been approved by the borough council.

An application from Danish Living Ltd, to demolish number 48 and build three blocks of flats on land to the rear, was given the nod by the planning committee on Thursday (June 25).

The development will see the blocks built around a courtyard with a detached two-bedroom house added at the entrance to the site. One of the blocks will be four-storeys high while the others will be two storeys, though one will have accommodation in the loft space.

None of the homes will be classed as affordable. The council’s consultants agreed that to include them would mean the development would not be financially viable.
