Event organisers in Rye could be in line for a financial boost as the council will be handing out £9,000 for them.

Rye Town Council will be giving the money in grants to new and existing events within Rye and the surrounding area, on Rother District Council’s behalf.

Support will be given to new events whose target audience is primarily visitors from outside Rye, or to existing events for additional activity, including marketing, which will attract visitors.

Priority will be given to event organisers who have secured some funding for the proposed event or activity from other sources.

For further information, or to request an application form, call town clerk Richard Farhall on 01797 223902 or email [email protected].
