Redrow Homes was given outline permission for the 8.8 hectare site north-east of Graylingwell Park in November 2018 and members of the planning committee approved its look during a meeting on Wednesday (May 5).
The site forms the northern part of the Westhampnett/North East Chichester strategic housing allocation and is Phase 2 of the Graylingwell Park development.

Sixty of the new homes – 30 per cent – will be classed as affordable.
Active electric vehicle charging points will be included with 40 of the homes, while the rest will be able to connect at a later date, if the owners wish.
On top of that, 71 of the homes will either be built to Fabric First standards or have solar panels.

The application was approved by eight votes to two with one abstention.
