This general election is the most important election in a generation.

The outcome will either be a Labour-led government, with Ed Miliband as our prime minister or a Conservative-led government with David Cameron as the prime minister.

I strongly believe we need to continue the Conservative economic policies that have ensured our country has the strongest economic growth in Europe and stronger economic growth than

the USA.

We now have low inflation and record numbers of people in work.

In the Bognor Regis and Littlehampton constituency unemployment is now down to two per cent, a fall of 30 per cent over the past year.

We must not put this economic recovery at risk. Only a strong economy can deliver the wealth to pay for our NHS, for schools, for defence, for continued increases in the state pension and for all the other public services we need.

Only a Conservative-led government will continue our plan to reduce immigration.

Only a Conservative-led government will deliver an in-out referendum on the European Union.

I am asking for your vote so we can continue the task of securing a strong economy, particularly now that we face risks from economic uncertainty in the Euro-zone countries, slower growth in China, and turmoil in the Middle-East.

I am also hoping you will support me because over the years since I was first elected to represent Bognor Regis and Littlehampton as its MP, I believe I have shown energy and commitment in helping individuals solve the problems they face when dealing with uncaring or incompetent bureaucracy.

I have been deeply involved in community life, ensuring people’s views are heard at the highest levels of Government. I will continue the work of ensuring that both St Richard’s and Worthing Hospitals keep their A&E and continue to provide high-quality care.

I have led and supported local campaigns against unwanted development. And I have worked to ensure our flood defences protect people’s homes. I have also worked closely with Pagham residents and government ministers to tackle beach erosion caused by the Pagham Spit and believe the solution is to cut a channel through the Spit.

Over the years I have also campaigned for a more sincere and less confrontational approach to politics. We need to end the ‘yah-boo’ of political discourse.

I strongly believe that a vote for any party other than the Conservative Party puts our economic recovery at risk. I do hope I will have your support.
