Poppy appeal success for Bexhill
The Bexhill branch of the Royal British Legion has collected almost £17,000 during this year's Poppy Appeal.
Branch members heard at their AGM on Friday that 16,761 has been raised so far with further donations on their way.
A spokesman said: "It's not too bad, and there is still more to come in. The Bexhill branch would like to thank everybody for their generosity, and thanks to all the shops and offices that allowed our collection boxes in, also all the volunteers who stood out in the streets collecting."
