Positive response to Gazette’s first reader surgery

Villagers from East Preston came out in force to discuss their concerns. Everything from problematic potholes, to future feature ideas were brought to the table.

Graham Tooley, was one of the first to talk to Tom during Friday’s surgery, at the East Preston Library, in The Street. The 59-year-old cyclist said he was dismayed at the state of the village’s roads.

At Rustington’s library, villagers asked what the best way of getting stories into the paper was.

The surgeries have proved a great success, with plenty of future stories set to come from this first batch, alone.

The next series of surgeries will be taking place at the following libraries across the Gazette area, next week:

n Thursday, February 27: Angmering Library, Arundel Road, 10am to midday and Rustington Library, in Claigmar Road, 1.30pm until 3.30pm.

n Friday, February 28: Arundel Library, Surrey Street, 10am to midday and Littlehampton Library, in Maltravers Road, 1.30pm until 3.30pm.
