Producers invitedby MP to showcasefood at Parliament

FOOD and drink producers from the Rye area are being invited to put forward their products to Parliament by MP Amber Rudd.

Ms Rudd said: “I am hosting a selection of the finest foods from the Rye area and Hastings at Westminster on July 14.”

The event will be held to showcase the wonderful local food and drink to some of our country’s top decision-makers.

Amber is encouraging all food and drink producers in Hastings and Rye to apply for a chance to display their finest on the 14th July.

There is room for 15 producers to display their produce in the House of Commons.

Amber commented: “Food and drink in the Rye area is fantastic.

“We have so many successful, local businesses providing quality local food and drink and the July 14 event is an excellent opportunity to raise the profile of the region and boost tourism.

“ It would be great to see a wide range of local producers showcasing the very best of British in the House of Commons and I encourage all producers in Hastings and Rye to apply for a space by emailing [email protected] .”

There are weekly farmer’s markets at Rye and Brede on Wednesdays and Fridays.
