Property developer killed in Bury Hill Porsche smash

A PROPERTY developer closely associated with major regeneration plans for Worthing has been named as the driver killed instantly in an horrific car crash at Bury Hill, near Arundel on Wednesday.

Robert Walker (61) of The Hollow, West Chiltington, was killed when his Red Porsche hit a tree, and his wife Penelope, a passenger in the car, was airlifted to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, London, where her condition was described as critical. She was believed to be in her fifties.

Mr Walker, of Hanson Capital Management, had been working closely with Worthing Borough Council on the Teville Gate development plan to create a shopping centre, leisure park and housing.
