Pub leads appeal for local lad

REGULARS at the Three Oaks pub have rallied round to raise funds for a youngster in the village who has a rare medical condition.

Little Elliott Ambrose, aged 14 months, has Angelman Syndrome, a neuro-genetic disorder which delays development and can result in sleeping disorders and seizures.

A shave and wax event at the pub last Thursday raised £600 for the appeal and a further £400 was raised with an Easter Saturday table sale, which was well supported despite the poor weather.

The fund now stands at over £1,000 and will help Elliott’s parents pay for treatment for him in America as well as providing specialist equipment he needs.

Elaine Robinson, from the pub, said: “Thank you to everyone who came, either with things to sell, or to help, or just to browse and pick up some bargains.”

If anyone would like to support the appeal for Elliott they should contact the pub direct or email [email protected].
