Pupils sticking fast to their high reputation

STAMP-loving pupils from Georgian Gardens School in Rustington have retained their reputation as a source of top philatelists.

Every year, the Association of Sussex Philatelic Societies runs a competition for members of junior school stamp clubs across the county.

Each child is invited to submit an entry of eight pages of stamps illustrating a theme and written up with descriptions and details of their issue.

The top prize in the competition is the Jack Gee Cup, which Georgian Gardens has won for seven out of the last eight years.

It was presented to this year's winner Elodie-Jane Yates at a special assembly on Friday.
