Puppies rescued from a 'scene from hell'

PUPPIES rescued from a 'scene from hell' are being cared for by workers at the Kit Wilson Trust, Hadlow Down.

Workers were instrumental in rescuing almost 200 Yorkshire terrier puppies and a ten-year-old German shepherd found packed in crates in a shed at Hurstpierpoint.

Centre manager and chairman of the trustees, Colette Marshall, said the trust had taken on 89 of the terriers and the German Shepherd.

The animals were found when a widow died at her isolated home. Rescuers also found 30 cats.
