Queen's award for bus service
BEXHILL Community Bus Limited, which provides residents with transport for shopping and essential trips, was yesterday named as one of 37 recipients of The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service - effectively an MBE for groups of volunteers.
Those receiving the honour in the south-east were chosen from 413 groups nominated by members of the public for the vital work they do in the community.
Each gets a certificate signed by the Queen, an exclusive commemorative crystal and an invitation for representatives to attend a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace this summer.
