Rail disruption after a woman was hit by a train at Hilsea

Rail services will be delayed by up to an hour after an incident in which a woman died at Hilsea station, near Portsmouth.

British Transport Police say the woman died at the scene of the incident today.

All lines between Portsmouth and Hilsea are likely to be blocked until 5pm.

Southern services from London Victoria and Brighton going to Portsmouth will stop at Chichester.

Southern passengers may use local buses in the Havant / Portsmouth area and on bus route 700 between Brighton and Portsmouth.
