'Rat evidence' at West Sussex hospital

No wards are affected but all surgical operations at the hospital have been cancelled as the area affected is adjacent to the theatres.

Worthing and Southlands Hospitals Trust says it has taken immediate action to deal with the problem.

Specialist pest control investigators were called on Tuesday and are working with the trust's microbiology team. Traps and poison have been laid and all points of entry identified and sealed.
