READER'S PICTURE: Fallen tree branches block road

Passer-by Alison Melrose took a picture of the scene in Mill Lane, Heathfield.

She said: 'It looked like a huge branch from a fir tree came down.

'There were four vehicles in front of me.

'Nobody could get past it and I had to turn around.

'It happened just before me.

'I phoned the police who didn't know about it.'
