Record-breaking Rare Breeds Show at Singleton

THE Singleton Rare Breeds show at the Weald and Downland Museum enjoyed a record-breaking event on Sunday- the best ever, with more than 5,500 visitors and exhibitors, plus good weather.

Visitors thoroughly enjoyed the new layout, which allows much closer contact with the animals, and for many their first encounter with a pig, cow, sheep or goat, not forgetting the rabbits and poultry.

Highland Cattle joined the uniquely wide range of breeds to be seen at the show.

Winner of the West Sussex Gazette Cup and Sash for the Supreme Champion of Interbreed Championship was Luke Gates and Nicola O' Connell's Swanthorphe Daphne.
