Recycling in East Sussex

HAVE you forgotten what recycling goes in what bins? Need a reminder? Or maybe you are simply new to the scheme. Below is a detailed list of what bins what area has, what goes in those bins, and when they go out.

In Lewes there are more than one recycling bins which gets collected fortnightly.

In the Wealden district there are more than one recycling/bins schemes. The first one is the Crown scheme, but they hope to more everyone on to the Crown Caddy scheme by early 2011.

Crown Scheme: 2 Black wheelie bins, one for household refuse and the other for garden waste and cardboard. One blue box for recycling:

One week the black wheelie bin with the refuse gets collected, and the following week the blue recycling box and the garden waste bin gets collected.
