Residents turn out in force for William and Kate’s Royal Wedding

A MOOD of celebration has been sweeping across the Observer area as residents cheer on Royal newlyweds Prince William and his bride Catherine.

Street parties are now in full flow, with local stores’ supplies of patriotic Union Jack bunting, cakes and flags running empty as people enter into the spirit with an extra day’s holiday to mark the big occasion.

With a reported global audience of 2 billion viewers watching the grand service at Westminster Abbey, West Sussex is doing its bit to ensure the day proves a highly memorable one to remember.

In Chichester, formal street parties are taking place at Cawley Road, Beech Avenue and also at the Anchor Pub in Sidlesham, where the festivities are set to go on well into the afternoon.

Residents in the Midhurst area are turning out to celebrate at Milland Recreation Ground and at the Cricketers Pub, meanwhile in Bognor Regis, there’s also plenty going on.
