Restaurant keeps its Michelin Star for third year in a row

A ROTHER restaurant is celebrating after holding on to its prestigious Michelin Star rating for the third year running.

Mark and Sara Colley, owners of The Curlew at Bodiam, were celebrating news that The Michelin Food Guide has, for the third time since 2011, named the modern British restaurant amongst the top 169 in the UK.

Mark said: “This is terrific news and justifiable reward for the colossal hard work put in by everyone connected with The Curlew.

“Since joining us in October 2012, head chef, Andrew Scott and his kitchen team, alongside restaurant manager, Marcellin Hardouin and his front-of-house team, have worked tirelessly to continually create and improve upon every element of The Curlew’s offering.

“Recognition must also go to our incredible local producers and suppliers who provide the ingredients on which our success is built.

“It makes us immensely proud to have a restaurant able to showcase the very best of Kent and Sussex.”

The Michelin Star award caps an impressive 2013 for The Curlew, which was recently named in The Guardian Travel’s 10 best destination restaurants in the UK, and has continued to earn rave reviews from critics and the public alike.

The Curlew is located at Junction Road, Bodiam in a restored Grade II listed timber-framed 17th Century coaching inn.
