REVEALED: Three Sussex restaurants in UK’s top 100


They are Amberley Castle, The Pass in South Lodge Hotel, Lower Beeding, near Horsham, and the Lickfold Inn in Lickfold, near Petworth.
Both the Lickfold Inn and Amberley Castle debut on the list, which is published tomorrow (Sunday November 8).

Hide AdThe Pass has featured in the top 100 since 2013, while its head chef Matt Gillan has recently found success on the BBC cooking show The Great British Menu.


Overall, 13 South East eateries make the list, the most of any region outside of London.
Editor of The Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants, Karen Robinson, said: “The Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants combines the opinions of thousands of diners to produce a definitive list.
“Basing it on the ratings of everyday restaurant-goers, who are paying their own money, means it is an honest reflection of the nation’s tastes, so chefs and restaurants should be truly proud to make the list.”

Hide AdThe list is compiled by The Sunday Times in association with Harden’s. Now in its sixth annual edition, it is based on 63,000 reviews from almost 7,000 diners
