RNLI saves jet skier stranded a mile off Hastings coast

Hastings RNLI was called out to save a jet skier yesterday (May 29) who was stranded one mile from land.

Hastings RNLI confirmed the jet skier was safely rescued.

A spokesperson said: “Hastings lifeboat was requested to launch at 13:20 yesterday (May 29) to a jet ski one mile off Hastings Pier.

"The lifeboat and her volunteer crew were quickly on scene along with one of our RNLI lifeguards.

“The jet skier and ski were taken safely back to the Hastings Motor Boat and Yacht Club.”
