There will be Swing, Jive, Rock`n`Roll and Jump Blues. If you don’t think you can do it just go along to listen to the music and you never know you could pick up a few of the dances. This costs just £4 for non-members.

Robertsbridge Saturday Market: is taking place tomorrow at Robertsbridge Hall starting at 10am until noon. There will be lots of local produce available from vegetables, home baked goods, cakes, fresh meat, pet food and many interesting craft stalls. Also chance to meet up with friends for a coffee and a natter.

St Mary’s Salehurst: will be holding Holy Communion at Holy Trinity in Hurst Green at 9.30am and then Family Communion at Salehurst at 11am.

Next week Saturday 12th November will see the next St Mary’s Breakfast at the Salehurst Halt starting at 8.30am. The speaker this month is Richard Piper who is a local farmer from Hawkhurst. If you want to know more or to book a place please contact Angela on 880307.

Concert of Remembrance: is on Sunday 6th November at St Mary’s Salehurst. This starts at 6pm with tickets at just £5 available on the door. An evening of prose, music and poetry. One not to be missed as it is a very enjoyable evening with such a poignant reason for happening.

Tomorrow is November 5th: which is obviously Firework Night. If you are going to celebrate at home please be very careful with bonfires and fireworks, as we all know how dangerous they can be. Be aware of animals, especially horses that are in fields and cats and dogs that may be scared. Tell your neighbours out of politeness what you are doing to avoid any nasty incidents with pets. Look after yourselves and the children so you can come and see Robertsbridge Torch lit Bonfire Celebrations on 19th November. FOOTBALL : The Bridge 2nd team put last weeks poor performance behind them and showed manager Ian Austin what they can do when they decide to pass the ball around in their Macron East Sussex Football League Division 5 match at home to West Hill United II last Saturday. The Bridge pressured the visitors goal from the start and Paul Rockett split their defence after just 13 minutes to open the scoring and 10 minutes later Will Barden netted but then a lapse in defence on the half hour mark let the visitors score. Rockett netted his second on 39 minutes but again poor defending allowed the visitors to pull a goal back just before the break. Five minutes after the break Phil Green scored and on 65 minutes defender Ben Hardy slotted home but the visitors held on until ten minutes from the end when The Bridge took control of the visitors tiring legs with goals from Barden on 80 minutes, substitutes Thomas Charter 85 minutes and Jason Marsh 87 minutes, then with a minute to go the goal of the match came from Green whose stunning 20 yard strike flew into the far corner for a 9-2 victory. Tomorrow the 1st team are away to Rcok-a-Nore in the Premier Division while the 2nd team hosts second placed Bexhill Broncos in Division 5 with both matches K.O. 2p.m.
