STOOLBALL: The Ladies seemed to be doomed not to play with their home match against Pett rained off on Tuesday. The Mixed team beat Staplecross by 44 runs last Thursday at Staplecross to make it two wins from two games. Batting first Keith Apps was caught for 9 with the score on 31 but a stand of 132 between Josh Lewis[97] and Sarah Clark[48n.o.] steadied the side and with JJ Boast[2n.o.] we finished our 11 overs on 170-2. The hosts never got going against some tight bowling losing their opener Darren[17] in the 4th over when skipper Richard Apps took the catch from Lisa Fifield’[1-12] bowling. Carolyn[31] and Johnathon[12] put on 31 before both were bowled by Lewis[2-7] and then Holly[14n.o.] and Ben[32] put on 36 until Keith caught Ben from the bowling of Graham Clark[2-10] who also clean bowled Neville[0]. Henry[8n.o.] joined Holly to end their innings on 126-5. On Tuesday[2nd June] the Ladies are at home to Icklesham while the Mixed are at home to Pett on Thursday[4th] with both games starting at 7p.m.

DARTS: The League comes to an end next Friday[5th] with the Finals Night at Robertsbridge Club starting at 8p.m.
