Robertsbridge Village Food and Craft Market: this is on tomorrow Saturday 1st November between 10am – 12 noon. 24 stalls are booked leading up to the Christmas Market on 6th December. Egypt’s Farm is due with trailer and pan for sausage tasting, outside if the weather is good. A one off visit from two textile artists. Village cakes will be taking orders for Christmas; there will also be Fran Courtney with her pottery, The Proper Tea Co. from Pett and the usual crafts and food treats and the great value fruit and veg. Films shows: Next Friday 7th November at Robertsbridge Hall you can see The Grand Budapest Hotel, doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. On Saturday 8th there is another chance to see `Goodbye Piccadilly` at the Church Rooms in Fair Lane. There are 2 showings, one at 3pm and the other at 8pm.

LADIES DARTS: After last week’s hiding we played well against The Bear II at home last Monday. There were single victories for Jackie Danaher and Steph Goldsmith while we levelled the match at 4-4 after doubles wins for Dawn Mitchell/Steph and Alice Hodges/Carol Apps. We lost the first two trebles but Alice/Jackie/Steph won the last game in the 6-5 defeat. There were high scores from Alice[101,75], Jackie[94,84,78], Steph[79] and Dawn[71]. Next Monday[3rd] we are away to The Red Lion 8p.m.

FRIDAY DARTS: Our season started with a trip to The White Hart where we lost 5-2 in the singles with Keith Stone and Michael Stone our only victors while we lost all the doubles games. There were 100+ scores from Michael[140,102, 4x100], Alice Hodges[107] and Stuart Miller[100]. We won pushpenny 3-2 with wins for Michael Stone, David Goodsell and Dave Fortsch while Alan Apps scored a ‘goldwatch’. Tonight we are playing Old King John at The Millers in the Knockout Cup 8p.m.
