Junior Disco: the 1st Robertsbridge Scouts are holding a Junior Disco this evening Friday 26th September at Robertsbridge Hall. This is for youngsters aged 6-13 years and is on between 7pm – 9pm. Admission is £4 and there will be a tuck shop and refreshments available.

Quiz Night: Robertsbridge United Football Club is holding a Quiz tomorrow evening Saturday 27th September at Robertsbridge Club. Nigel`Smally`Small is the Quiz Master for the evening and the event starts at 7.30pm. Teams of max. 6 players at £2 per player, all are welcome.

Memorial Gig: Sunday 28th September at Robertsbridge Club starting at 3pm is to be a Memorial Gig in memory of Pete Thompsett who was the lead singer with Lumpy and the Lumpettes and sadly died last year. The afternoon features not only the Lumpettes but also The Cajun Dawgs and Titus and at just £5 entry will be a fantastic afternoon for Pete’s family and friends to get together to celebrate his life. Monies will be donated to local charities.

Village Film Show: The Monument Men will be the next film shown at Robertsbridge Hall on Friday 3rd October with doors opening at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

The film is about an unlikely WW11 Platoon, which is tasked to rescue art masterpieces from Nazi thieves and return them to their owners. This stars George Clooney, Matt Damon and Bill Murray and is directed by George Clooney.

Jazz Club: This next month October will see the Jazz Club presenting the ART THEMEN QUINTET. As well as Art, who is one of Britain’s top jazz saxophonist, John Horler will feature on the piano and Paul Morgan on the bass. This event is on Thursday 9th October at Robertsbridge Hall between 8pm – 10.30pm with tickets available from Judges Bakery, or on the door at the cost of £8.00 per head.

Flu Clinics: Its that time of year again when the Flu Vaccination Clinics are up and running shortly. This year you have to make an appointment to streamline the clinics. Oldwood Surgery is holding clinics on Saturday 27th September (tomorrow) from 8.30am onwards. Also on Monday 29th September, Monday 6th October, Monday 13th October, and Monday 20th October each between 2pm – 5pm.

Battle Surgery is holding a Clinic tomorrow 27th from 8.30am onwards.
