Well here we are just a couple of days away from Christmas, it seems to have been going on since September this year. Everywhere looks festive and bright and many of the events have now taken place.

Last Sunday the Robertsbridge Bonfire Society Draw took place where the 3 Christmas Hampers were won, one went to John Howells from Robertsbridge, one went to Mrs Doreen Vidler from Robertsbridge and the last one went to a lady called Jane from Sevenoaks. Thanks to everyone that bought tickets and supported the bonfire society.

Last Saturday was the Public Access Defibrillator training workshop that took place at Robertsbridge Hall. There was a good turn out with over 30 people taking part during the 2-hour workshop. If you missed it not to worry it is hoped there will be another one in the Spring. Don’t forget if you need the defibrillator over the Christmas there is one on the front wall of the Vets in the High Street and another at the Salehurst Halt. Dial 999 first and then go for the defibrillator, or ideally get someone else to go and get it, what ever, do not be frightened to use it if you have to, it will talk you through the procedure. It cannot harm someone that needs it because it will only work if it needs to.

Hopefully their use will not be needed and a healthy Christmas will be had by all.

As for celebrations, Robertsbridge Club is holding a Disco on Christmas Eve with FREE entry to see in Christmas Day. This starts at 8pm and DJ`s for the evening are Ted & Mogan.

On New Years Eve the Club is hosting a Disco to see in the New Year starting at 8pm with entry costing just £2 for members and £3 for guests. The Club Committee would like to wish all of their members and potential members a Happy Christmas. Don’t forget subs are due in January. !!!
