This month SSA helped the children at Salehurst Primary with money raised through the year by part funding of the Kestrel Trip to Hever Castle and the kites/Falcons `castle workshop` to Leeds Castle, with a further £300.00 pledged for Phonics books, and money was also given to buy new music stands. There is also £150.00 pledged for the use of the Community College mini bus this year and money to re-plant the areas at the front of the school. There will be the usual Christmas event and next year it is hoped to have the usual Quiz, Barn Dance, Fete, the Kids event at Easter, and hopefully one or two new events. All of these raise the money to help with the above.

ladeis darts: Once again we were involved in a close match but this time against last year’s champions The White Hart(Netherfield). Carol Apps and Jackie Danaher gave us a 2-0 lead but we could not maintain it and were losing 3-2 after the singles. Dawn Mitchell/Carol were our only doubles winners and going into the trebles we needed two more games. Jackie/Dawn/Rosemary Clifford won the first but we narrowly lost the last two to lose 7-4 but we could so easily have won. There were high scores for Dawn[91,86], Jackie[90 twice, 85], Carol[84], Eileen Morgan[84] and Rosemary[81]. On Monday[29th] we are away at The Bear(8p.m.)

Darts: Tonight we are at home to The Millers Arms(8p.m.).
