Robertsbridge murder: Police make fourth arrest

OFFICERS from Sussex Police Major Crime Branch have made a fourth arrest in connection with the murder of Robertsbridge businessman Julian Gardner.

A 31-year-old man was arrested in Ashford, Kent, this morning (Friday).

He will be taken to Sussex for questioning.

He is the fourth man to be arrested in connection to the murder since October 16.

Another 31-year-old man, also from Kent, who was arrested in North Wales yesterday (Thursday October 28) is currently being questioned by Sussex Police.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on Friday October 22 and bailed until November 26, and a 40-year-old man was arrested on Saturday October 16 and released on police bail until November 25.

Both men are from Ashford.

Julian Gardner was killed on the driveway of his home at Bush Barn Farm, Robertsbridge, on Monday October 11.

No one has been charged in connection with Mr Gardner’s death.
