Stoolball: This stop start season continued with us unable to get enough players to go to Icklesham last Thursday however we had eight teams at our mixed tournament on Sunday and the weather was kind and although we did not get to the final skipper Phil Green did pick up the most runs medal while Di Kitson shared the most wickets and Josh Lewis won the most catches. The final itself saw defending champions Civil Service take on a strong Ashburnham side. Civil Service batted first and were restricted to just 58 in their allotted four overs and in reply Ashburnham pushed their opponents all the way and in a frantic final over Ashburnham needed 3 runs to win off the last ball but they only got 1 run so Civil Service took the trophy for the third year. This Sunday[5th] is Icklesham Mixed Tournament at 11a.m.and on Tuesday(7th) the mixed are away to Brightling starting at 6.45p.m.
