Round-the-clock booze could be sold at Butlins

Butlins wants to sell alcohol around the clock at its new hotel in Bognor Regis.

The holiday company has applied to Arun District Council for a premises licence which would allow residents of its resort to buy booze in the Ocean Hotel 24 hours a day throughout the week.

The application will also enable Butlins to serve alcoholic drinks in the hotel to non-residents between 11am and 11pm every day.

A further part of the licence bid details Butlins' desire to stage entertainment in the hotel from 11am-11pm.

The 20m Ocean Hotel, with 200 bedrooms, is due to open on August 11.
