Rum Race shows sailing spirit
Rye Harbour Sailing Club held its annual Rum race in aid of the R.N.l.I on Sunday 11 January.
Due to the unfavourable weather conditions the race was held in the river rather than out in the Bay, but this still made for exciting racing with a number of boats capsizing in the strong wind.
The race was won by Scott Wilkinson, with Lucy Thomas second and Eric Zon third. £90 was raised for the R.N.L.I.
