The event, which was held on Saturday, November 12, helped to raise £742 for the hospice.

Carole Cartlidge, a committee member, said: “We would like to thank everyone who turned out on a very wet morning to help us raise money for our local hospice. We sold delicious homemade cakes and savouries, crafts and cards, and we also ran a very successful tombola and raffle. Our appreciation goes also to our volunteer committee members and happy band of volunteer helpers. Thank you all for this great result.” The money will go to support St Barnabas House, which provides specialist palliative care services to adults with advanced progressive life-limiting illnesses.
